South Indian actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has voiced her support for Nayanthara, popularly known as the “Lady Superstar,” in her ongoing legal dispute with actor Dhanush. The controversy centers around Nayanthara’s Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, which allegedly used a three-second clip from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan without Dhanush’s permission.
In a recent interview, Parvathy backed Nayanthara’s decision to pen an open letter addressing the issue. She described the letter as a necessary step and praised Nayanthara for her honesty and hard work. “An established celebrity like Nayanthara would never write something like this without a solid reason,” Parvathy remarked, adding that the issue reflects cyber fraud.
Parvathy also highlighted her personal empathy, stating, “I understand what it’s like to be unsupported, and I will always stand by those who need help.”
Nayanthara accused Dhanush of obstructing the documentary by refusing permission to use the behind-the-scenes footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and claimed this action was unjust. In response, Dhanush has reportedly threatened legal action, demanding ₹10 crore in damages.
Other South Indian stars, including Shruti Haasan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Nazriya Fahadh, and Anupama Parameswaran, have shown their support for Nayanthara by engaging with her Instagram post.

On the work front, Parvathy was last seen in Thangalaan alongside Chiyaan Vikram and will next appear in the Malayalam film Her. Nayanthara is gearing up for her roles in The Test with R Madhavan and Siddharth, as well as the action drama Rakkaiye.
