In journalism, we often profile actors after they “arrive.” But in the case of Prajesh Kashyap, I have watched the journey from the very beginning, from a Class 1 classroom to the arc lights of cinema. Prajesh studied at Gyan Bharati School, where he was a classmate of my daughter, Isha Saxena. I still remember watching him at the Annual Function, a small boy yet completely at ease under the lights. Even then, his expressions were sharp and his dialogue delivery confident. Though he was academically brilliant, it was clear that his heart leaned toward performance
Equally inspiring is the bond he shares with his close-knit group of five school friends, Dhananjay, Bavleen, Siya, Isha, and himself. In school days, they would talk almost daily about careers and ambitions. Today, despite life scattering them across continents, Dhananjay and Bavleen in Canada, Siya and Isha in Delhi, they still connect at least once a week.
A proud milestone came when Prajesh secured a break in Sam Bahadur. For the group, it felt like a collective achievement. In a gesture reflecting both humility and affection, he made sure each of them got a chance to interact with Vicky Kaushal, who played the lead. For young dreamers who once imagined futures together, that moment carried special meaning.
Now, with his impactful performance in Mardani 3, Prajesh has taken a significant leap forward. His portrayal of the antagonist is not loud or exaggerated. Instead, it is measured, controlled, and psychologically layered. He brings a chilling calmness to the character, proving that menace does not need volume, only conviction.

The same boy who once commanded attention on the Annual Day stage now commands the screen with stillness and intensity. His eyes convey more than dialogue. His pauses build tension. His presence lingers even after the scene moves on.
For those of us who have seen him grow, from school corridors to college theatre, from shared dreams with friends to mainstream cinema, this moment feels less like sudden success and more like the natural unfolding of a long-held calling.
Prajesh Kashyap did not stumble into acting. He prepared for it patiently and consistently, with quiet determination. And today, as audiences respond to his powerful screen presence, one can only say that the spark was always there.
