Pakistan Conveys U.S. Proposal to Iran Amid Efforts to End Conflict

New Delhi: Pakistan has conveyed a proposal from the United States to Iran as diplomatic efforts intensify to end the ongoing conflict between the two countries, according to a senior Iranian source quoted by Reuters.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, told Reuters on Wednesday that Pakistan had delivered a U.S. proposal to Tehran, though details of the proposal were not disclosed.

It remains unclear whether the message included the reported 15-point framework believed to outline possible steps toward ending hostilities between Washington and Tehran.

The Iranian source also indicated that discussions are underway over the possible venue for talks between the two sides. According to Reuters, both Turkey and Pakistan are being considered as potential locations for negotiations aimed at ending the conflict.

Turkey is also said to be involved in diplomatic efforts to find ways to end the war, reflecting a broader regional push to prevent further escalation.

While neither Washington nor Tehran has publicly confirmed the details of the proposal, the development suggests that back-channel diplomacy may be underway, with regional powers attempting to facilitate dialogue between the long-time adversaries.

If confirmed, Pakistan’s role in conveying the proposal could position Islamabad as an important intermediary in efforts to bring the two sides to the negotiating table and prevent the conflict from widening further in the region.
